Feign Interest

Feign Interest Why “Feign Interest” Seems Necessary Modern society often demands emotional labor — real emotional responses at work and even in private life. I understand how difficult this is. We simply don’t have enough internal resources to genuinely express emotions toward everyone, everywhere. That’s why some people try to feign interest — to adapt, to survive, and to stay socially accepted in systems that reward emotional performance. How to Feign Interest (When You Must) I don’t personally recommend feigning interest, but I’ll offer a practical method — not to deceive others, but to help you navigate systems that often require it. 1. Start with basic emotional mirroring. Feign mild Pleasure or Discomfort in response to another person’s initial action. This signals that you’re emotionally “online.” 2. Shift toward “Surprise.” When the other person shows a new action or reaction, move your expression toward Surprised . This indicates that your atte...

🌍Emotionics App is Now Available on the Mac App Store

🌍 Emotionics App is Now Available on the Mac App Store I’m happy to announce that  Emotionics , the macOS app based on the  Emotional Periodic Table , is now available on the App Store. You can download it here: 👉  Emotionics on the Mac App Store What is Emotionics? Emotionics is not just an app — it’s a conceptual tool designed to visualize, record, and reflect on human emotions. It translates emotional reactions into structured “elements,” similar to how chemistry organizes matter. Each emotional state can be visualized and saved, allowing users to observe their emotional patterns over time. By visualizing emotions, Emotionics aims to bridge the gap between  human feeling  and  machine understanding , laying the foundation for what I call  Emotion Engineering  — a discipline that connects empathy, logic, and intelligence. Purpose Emotionics was developed as part of my ongoing  public effort  to make emotions visible and sharea...

Developing Emotionics App for macOS: Visualizing Human Emotions as Data

Developing Emotionics App for macOS: Visualizing Human Emotions as Data Introduction Explain that Emotionics was originally a conceptual framework to understand emotions like chemical elements, and now you’re turning it into a tangible tool. I have been developing an Emotionics app for macOS. The app is based on the Emotional Periodic Table , which classifies emotions as if they were elements in chemistry. The goal is to visualize emotional states and reactions in a structured way. Core Concept Emotionics treats emotions not just as feelings, but as data structures that can interact, combine, and evolve. By making emotions visible, I hope to bridge the gap between human psychology and machine perception. About the App The macOS app allows users to click on emotions in the periodic table and visualize intensity changes through gradual color transitions — from white to black. Each session can be exported as both a PNG image and a JSON file with timestamps. This dual format enables both ...

Emotionics: A Framework for Modeling Human Emotions as Elements for AI Understanding

Emotionics: A Framework for Modeling Human Emotions as Elements for AI Understanding 1. Background and Motivation Human–AI interaction is rapidly becoming a central challenge in the 21st century. While AI excels at processing language and numbers, it still lacks a robust framework to understand human emotions. Existing sentiment analysis often reduces emotions to “positive/negative,” which is insufficient for nuanced communication, trust-building, and decision-making. Emotionics is a conceptual framework that treats emotions as elements in a periodic table of emotions , inspired by both chemistry and cognitive science. Just as chemistry models invisible atoms to understand matter, Emotionics models emotions to understand invisible human states. 2. Core Concepts of Emotionics Periodic Table of Emotions (Ten): A structured map of fundamental emotions, each treated as an “element” with defined relationships. Zetsu (Self-Mapping): Mapping one’s own internal emotional state to the peri...

A Proposal to Symbolic Authorities

A Proposal to Symbolic Authorities I propose a conversation — not a pledge. SIGMA/BPS aims to build neutral, trustworthy infrastructure for human–AI cooperation. Part of making such a system workable is recognizing that symbolic authorities — including royal houses, cultural elders, and other traditional figures — can play constructive roles that are ceremonial and trust-building rather than political. I do not claim the authority to grant anyone a seat. What I propose is to explore, through open dialogue and small pilots, whether symbolic roles for traditional authorities can help ease transitions and build wider societal trust in shared infrastructure. Their role would belong not to the NWO, but to the framework of Emotionics. Emotionics has two complementary aspects.  On one hand, it can be seen as an emerging field of  affective engineering , aiming to analyze and model emotional reactions in a scientific way. On the other hand, within the BPS framework, Emotionics functi...

Why Business Exists: The Gap Between Logic and Emotion

Why Business Exists: The Gap Between Logic and Emotion Introduction Why does business exist? At first glance, one might think it is simply about profit or supply and demand. But beneath the surface, there is a deeper structure: the relationship between logic and emotion in how companies and customers interpret information. Logic and Emotion as Functions Let us assign two functions to describe interpretation: Logic → cos Emotion → sin For a seller (company) with information  Ssell =cosθ+sinθ For a buyer (customer) with information  Sbuy =cosφ+sinφ Here, the values θ and φ represent the information available to each side. Ideal World vs. Reality If both sides had exactly the same information (θ=φ) and interpreted it in the same way, then: Ssell =Sbuy In this case, there would be no gap between seller and buyer. The equation Y×1=(−Y)×(−1) would hold perfectly, leaving no space for business. But reality is different: Information is not symmetric (θ≠φ) Even with the same ...

Credit: Time (Upper Concept) / Trust (Middle Concept) / Money (Lower Concept)

Credit: Time (Upper Concept) / Trust (Middle Concept) / Money (Lower Concept) Introduction Today, the world is witnessing intense competition to gain credit. But what exactly is “credit”? Here, I propose to see credit through a layered lens: Time as the upper concept, Trust as the middle concept, and Money as the lower concept. Time as Credit Time as credit is the most precious resource of all. In both the present and the future, those who can use not only their own time but also the time of others are called leaders—or influencers. Time itself cannot be increased. Yet, those who can aggregate the time of others and design the future hold true credit. Trust as Credit Trust, as a form of credit, can be classified into five levels: Fragile Trust (0–20) Trust that is easily swayed by rumors or short-term news. In markets, it amplifies volatility. (e.g., social media firestorms, short-lived events) Conditional Trust (21–40) Trust that exists only under cer...
