Three-Way Structure Before the Blue Planet System (BPS)
Introduction
In previous articles, I introduced the idea of the Blue Planet System (BPS)—a structural model for a future Human + AI world.
Yet, the current international mindset still relies heavily on binary thinking:
“Friend or enemy?”, “Yes or no?”, “Good or bad?”.
This OR-based worldview is too primitive for a future where AGI may emerge.
To evolve beyond this, the world requires an intermediate step—
a structure that is more stable, self-balancing, and less dependent on binary confrontation.
The Structure Before BPS
If humanity truly aims to reach AGI, the world must reconfigure itself into a shape that optimizes cooperation, competition, and mutual restraint.
The optimized final structure could be BPS, but we cannot jump there directly.
A necessary precursor is what I call the Three-Way Structure (三つ巴構造).
This structure consists of:
• USA Way
• China Way
• Third Way (the rest of the world, including ASEAN, EU, India, Africa, Middle East, etc.)
These three centers of gravity monitor one another and keep each other in check.
No single bloc can dominate completely.
This balance naturally accelerates innovation while preventing unilateral control of the global system.
From Three-Way Structure to BPS
A stable three-way structure leads to a world where:
• No single bloc controls the global narrative
• Innovation, especially in AI, progresses faster
• Supply chains and political risks become more distributed
• Mutual monitoring reduces the probability of large-scale conflict
As each bloc realizes the limits of unilateral control,
they will also recognize the need for a neutral, structural layer—
a shared framework that can manage information, trust, coordination, and safety across borders.
This is where BPS naturally becomes necessary.
The Three-Way Structure is not the final destination.
It is the launchpad.
And from this launchpad, the world can step into the next stage:
a cooperative, multi-polar system guided by BPS.
