Big Updates in Affective Computing: TextEmotionEstimator is Now Free & emotionics Library Version Up!
Today, I have two major updates regarding my ongoing work in Emotionics and Affective Computing.
Whether you are a macOS power user looking to analyze text sentiment or a Python developer building emotion-aware applications, these updates are for you.
1. TextEmotionEstimator for macOS: Now Available for Free
I’ve decided to make my macOS application, TextEmotionEstimator, completely free to download.
For those who haven't tried it yet, TextEmotionEstimator is a native macOS tool designed to estimate the emotional nuances behind text. In a world where digital communication often lacks "tone," this tool helps bridge the gap by providing data-driven insights into the sentiment and emotional state of written content.
Why make it free? I believe that the tools for understanding human emotion should be accessible. By removing the price barrier, I hope to see more creators, researchers, and developers utilizing emotion analysis in their daily workflows. It’s my way of contributing to a more "human-centric" software ecosystem.

2. Python Library: emotionics Version Update
https://pypi.org/project/emotionics/
On the developer side, I’ve pushed a significant update to the emotionics Python library.
The latest versions (moving through v0.1.2 and beyond) focus on stability and internal optimization. But more importantly, this update marks the beginning of a strategic shift.
You can grab the latest version now via pip:
Bash
pip install emotionics --upgrade
The Vision: Moving Toward a Decentralized Future
These changes aren't just about code; they are about a philosophy. I believe the "New World Order" of software should favor high ROI and critical-path utility over vendor lock-in and gatekeeping. By providing these tools for free and making the libraries model-agnostic, I hope to empower others to build amazing things without being tied to a single platform.
Thank you for all the support and feedback so far. The journey into Emotionics is just getting started!
