EmotionicsAPI estimates the writer’s emotional signals from text.

It estimates—it does not determine, diagnose, or judge.

Why can EmotionicsAPI estimate emotions from text?

EmotionicsAPI = LLM × Emotionics (theory).

It is not “only LLM” and not “only Emotionics,” but the combination of both.

LLMs learn emotion-related language patterns from large-scale text data,

while Emotionics provides a structured theoretical framework to interpret those patterns.

By combining statistical representations from LLMs with the structural theory of Emotionics,

EmotionicsAPI can estimate emotional signals in text.

About other models (e.g., Gemini)

I have not tested the Gemini API yet, so I cannot comment on its performance in this setup.

Currently, EmotionicsAPI is implemented using the ChatGPT API.
